The letter of memorandum

Subject: Protest against the Indian encroachment of Nepali territory (Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh and Kalapani)
Dear Mr. Prime Minister,
On behalf of the Nepalese people residing in Germany, we would like to express our serious concern and disappointment against the recent act of Indian Government depicting territory of sovereign Nepal (Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh and Kalapani) inside the political map of India.
It is well evidenced from historical documents and treaties (between sovereign Nepal and East India Company-the then ruler of current India), Kali river originated from Limpiyadhura is the Nepal’s western boundary with current India. However, ignoring all facts recent Indian political map issued by the government of India illustrates the Nepal-India western boundary several kilometers eastward inside Nepal, encroaching total ca. 400 km of sovereign Nepal territory.
Your Excellency,
We would like to draw your further attention that a total more than 607km2 of Nepalese land has been encroached by India in 71 different places covering 23 districts of Nepal since 1962 This act has resulted in a mass displacement of thousands of Nepali citizens. Additionally, multiple reports have revealed systematic atrocities of Indian security forces (murder, physical torture, rape, loot) against Nepali citizens in those areas. We consider these acts as a clear demonstration of Indian expansionism against its sovereign neighboring country in South Asia, violating the Panchsheel based Indian foreign policy. Despite being tabled multiple times, India instead of resolving disputes continues its neo-colonial dogmatic act ultimately threatening regional peace.
We therefore reject the recent Indian political map and strong demand for its urgent correction, immediate withdrawal of Indian security forces and return of the encroached Nepali territory. Further, we also call for the cancelation of unequal treaties and agreements which hinder the cordial relation between two countries In this regard, we request your positive initiative favoring logical solution conclusively paving a path towards friendly relationship based on mutual benefit and equality between Nepal and India.
Sincerely,
Hari Neupane, President
